Edward Borein
(American, 1872-1945)
Bronco Buster - The Spinner
etching, chine collé
signed lower right Edward Borein and dated 1914
10 x 7in (25.5 x 18cm)Provenance: with Kennedy Galleries, New York, NY.
Property from a Santa Barbara, California collector.Footnote: Chine-collé is a printmaking technique in which a lightweight (often tissue) paper is adhered to a heavier support paper in the printmaking process. The process often picks up more detail in the final image, as well as providing a different sheen and texture to the work. As Borein did not often use the chine-collé process, the above lot is considered an experimental piece in his oeuvre.
