Indenture on vellum dated April 20, 1728 between Christopher Witt of Germantown, "Dr. of Physick & Surgery" to Christopher Warmer Jr., Blacksmith for plot of land in Germantown. Document presents signature of Witt at bottom on obverse and on reverse once. Christopher Witt (1675-1765) was a physician, scientist, botanist, clock maker, artist, musician, and astronomer in Germantown and a member of the theosophical colonists that colonized the Germantown area. Document measures 12.75" x 13.5" and exhibits some folds and toning.
