A nice Egyptian steatite scarab fit in a gold setting, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, the body beautifully carved the back carved with a lion above a crocodile. The original gold setting was for a swivel ring, the bezel in great condition only missing the shank. 17 x 13mm. Ex Devon, UK private collection.
