A pair of French gilt bronze and white marble mounted five light candelabra, last quarter 19th century
A pair of French gilt bronze and white marble mounted five light candelabra, last quarter 19th century, each with a central raised foliate cast and beaded sconce, above four further conforming sconces on scrolled arms issuing from foliate, baluster and hexagonal section stems each cast with further foliage and three zoomorphic monopodia, above triform bases, on toupie feet, 60cm high, 28cm wide
Condition Report:
The metalware is a little dusty and dirty overall, with some rubbing to the gilding, and there is some radial movement to two or three of the branches which could presumably be tightened. Aside from this, and a tiny shallow chip to the underside of one of the bases, the candelabra are in perfectly presentable condition overall.
