Pair of monumental Chinese cloisonne vases on stands, of baluster form, each having a gold rim surmounting a trumpet neck embellished with a ruyi band, lotus scroll, and Ming style phoenixes, above a body decorated on one side with a pair of peacocks standing on rockwork amidst peony and prunus blossoms, next to a pond with swans, lotus, parrots, and magnolia branches, the other side decorated with a pair of pheasants amidst chrysanthemums, lilies, hibiscus, and wisteria, all on a robin's egg blue ground, tapering to a lappet band and rising on a circular foot covered in lotus scrollwork, each resting on a custom stand, 100"h x 36"w; overall size with stand 117"h x 40"w.
