Topaz & Quartz var. Smoky Murzinka, Sverdlovsk Oblast,...
Topaz & Quartz var. Smoky Murzinka, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia "A sharp pale blue blocky but slightly prismatic transparent topaz crystal of about 1.5 inches growing on a smoky quartz crystal. Bought this from Wayne Leicht when he sold E. Mitchell Gunnell's collection. Known to many of us at Mitch the Bitch. His label is on the bottom of the little stand that is glued to the specimen." - Rock H. Currier Another 'Mitch the Bitch' piece. Rock seemed to take a certain amount of delight in spreading that one around. The specimen is a testament to good taste whether or not the owner was the social equivalent of a hagfish. Classic combo from Murzinka, which used to be called Mursinsk: a name you will still find on many labels. Overall Measurements: 3.1 x 2.8 x 2.0 inches (8.0 x 7.0 x 5.0 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Bought from Kristalle (Wayne & Dona Leicht), Ex. Mitchell Gunnell Collection [RHC #5061, acquired 1987] [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm
