The oversized figure of Christ at the centre, seated on a bench with red and blue cushions, his feet resting on a suppedaneum, his hand raised in blessing, supporting the Gospels on his knee. The Mother of God and John the Baptist inclining their heads towards him, raising their hands in supplication. The facial features and expressive hands accentuated by white striations, the figures depicted in bold outlines, the drapery rendered with stylized gradating tones, the background gold. Signed in Greek lower right 'Georgios Arkoleos The supplication of the servant of God Markarios Mulydas'. Minimally restored. 67.2 x 53.8 cm.

Christus, auf einer Bank mit Sitzkissen thronend, wird von der Gottesmutter und Johannes dem Vorlaeufer flankiert. Weich modellierte Inkarnate mit Hoehungen in Weiss.
