Fine Japanese Meiji period Shibayama inlaid hardwood cabinet comprising an asymmetrical arrangement of open shelves, cupboards and drawers, the panelled doors depicting sages and acolytes in gardens, the drawers depicting flowers and insects, with pierced elaborate floral and foliate back panels and cornicing and additional carved border, on rectangular base with pierced flowerhead and scroll apron and short legs carved with a key pattern. Inlaid seal mark to top left door. 168.5cm high, 112cm wide and 39cm deep.
