FRAGMENTARY BUST OF CHRIST

stone, on a modern metal and wood base
bust: 43cm., 17in.
base: 6cm., 2⅜in.

Condition Report:
The sculpture is a fragment and as such there are losses to both arms and to the figure from the waist down. There are further minor losses and chips including to the tip of the nose and to the top of the crown of thorns. The surface of the stone is slightly weathered due to placement outdoors. The back of the sculpture has been left roughly hewn. There is particular dirt to the crevices at the centre of the chest.
