Small inheritance from Sergeant Matthias Hölzer, born on 3rd January, 1914, in Oberlar in the middle of the turmoil of the First World War. Military ID with photo. Spanish Cross in silver, Spanish Civil War Medal ‘DE LA CAMPANA 1936-1939’ (Condor Legion) , Order of Military Merit (Spain) and Spanish Cross in silver with swords. The heavily worn Spanish Cross in silver is punch-marked with 835. The arms of the cross have signs of wear, modern-day replacement pin. Unmarked cross by the manufacturer Wilhelm Deumer. Plus the Medal de la Campana with the typical Spanish ribbon. Hölzer was killed on 5/10/1944 when he was shot in the head. Hence the red line and ‘ungültig’ as he was killed.
