Brigadier General William Irvine commanded Fort Pitt in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from November 6, 1781 to September 30, 1783. During that time, Fort Pitt served as the headquarters for the western theatre during the Revolutionary War. 8.5 x 13 inches.
