An Egyptian steatite scaraboid, New kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, the backside domed and smooth, on the base, a standing goose with a double crown before. 17 x 10 mm. Drilled lengthwise for suspension. Ex Peter Cheremisinoff collection, NJ.
