“People who know little are usually great talkers, while men who know much say little.”
― Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Jean-Jacques Rousseau was an 18th-century Enlightenment philosopher whose political theories helped shape aspects of the French Revolution. One of Rousseau’s most famous stories was ‘Julie’ or ‘New Heloise’, which tells the medieval love story of nun Heloise d’Argenteuil and Peter Abelard. However, much of the fame of this work came from it being put on the Index of Prohibited Books by the Catholic Church.
