Description A LARGE BRONZE CENSER, 1837
The vessel in bombé-shape with well-cast phoenix masks to the shoulders. Inscribed Daoguang Ding You. The body with an incised archaistic scroll bearing taotie and stylized phoenixes above leiwen and a key-fret border.
Provenance: From a British estate. By repute acquired in China during the late 1930s.
Condition: Excellent condition with wear, traces of use and one hole drilled to base.
Weight: 9.9 kilograms.

曲型壺身。鳳首雙耳。刻有道光丁酉。壺身雕有仿古紋，雷紋上中帶饕餮，兩側各帶一鳳凰。
