Leather Sword Belt Attributed to John Coffee Hays
Folded leather construction, .875" wide. Fitted with 2.75" square buckle with sliding prong attachments. Silver finished for Infantry as is correct for "bimetallic system" accoutrements. This pattern can be found as figure 166 in Sydney Kerksis' book on US plates and buckles. **Very good condition overall. Leather remains pliable with some moderate wear to edges and some loosening of stitching.
