Shaped-circular with a chased acanthus, shells and scrolls and diaper-work panels, with engraved arms for the LEMAN family of Brampton Hall, Suffolk, all within a chased cartouche, on four scroll feet, diameter 32.8cm, weight 37oz.
Condition Report: Light wear to the hallmarks, slightly obscured by the chased decoration.The arms are most likely later. The silver is thin at this point suggesting an erasure.Scratch-weight engraved on base '38-19'.A very small and stable crack in the cast rim.General surface wear and light scratching.
