Artist: Tanomura Chikuden “田能村竹田”(1777-1835) , Edo period famous literati painter, At the age of 20, he studied painting with local artists. In 1801, at the age of 25, he visited the famous artist Tani Buncho, In 1811, at the age of 35, he met his lifelong friend Rai Sanyo 頼山陽(1781-1832) , once imitated the style of ancient Chinese painter Wangmeng, he also published his own painting works, for Japan to train a number of well-known painters!
Many museums in Japan have his works: Tokyo National Museum, Oita Museum and so on!

Artist: Hoashi Yukiame“帆足幸雨” (1810-1884) was a famous literati painter at the end of Edo period. In 1838, he traveled to famous mountains and rivers in Japan to learn ancient Chinese landscape painting. He painted for the Japanese Court for many times.

The wooden box was signed by Yukiame Hoashi in hand with his seal.
