A 19th century, gold and silver mounted ruby/pink sapphire and diamond ring, of cluster design centring on a cushion-shaped ruby, within a surround of old mine-cut diamonds, c.1890, ring size K. Please note that there is some debate as to whether the centre stone is a ruby or pink sapphire Accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Service GCS, London, report number 5782-1395, dated 30.03.2022, stating that the ruby is Burma origin with no indications of heating
Good condition, minor abrasions commensurate with age, mounted in silver and gold, gross weight 3.7 grams, ruby medium light, strong, strongly purplish, pinkish red, good clarity, GCS quotes 8.30 x 7.50 x 4.64 = 2.75 however our measurements taken from the inner edge of of the collet mount are: 7.8 x 7.3 x 4.50mm, closer to 2.6 carats diamonds bright and lively, approximately 0.70 carats in total. Slight discolouration to collet mount. Accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Service GCS report 5782-1395, dated 30.03.2022, stating that the ruby is Burma origin with no indications of heating
