Imperial German Officer Presentation Sword. Presented to Oberstleutnant Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Woellwarth-Lauterburg from the men of the Ulanen-Regiment König Wilhelm I. (2. Württembergisches) Nr. 20., for his 50 years service. Quillback, curved, Damascus blade with dark and light gray background acid etching and gold inlay on both sides. Blade width at ricasso 1.1/8". Maker mark "C.A. Stahle, Stuttgart" on the gold inlay of spine near the ricasso. Highly decorated, gold plated hilt with Kaiser Wilhelm I Royal cypher applied on the front langet and Karl Ludwig Freiherr von Woellwarth-Lauterburg familly crest on the reverse. Shark-skin covered grip with triple twisted wire. Lionhead pommel with inlayed red glass eyes. Black painted steel scabbard with gold plated fittings. Blade Length: 31 1/4" | Total Length: 38"
