Kamehameha IV (1834-1863) served as King of the Hawaiian islands from 1855 until his death from chronic asthma. He tried to reduce Hawaiian dependence on American trade, and kept Hawaii neutral during the Civil War. This broadside lists the numerous participants in his funeral procession, including his widow Queen Emma and bearers of the family's kahilis (the feathered royal standards).
