A Meissen composite part dessert service, late 19th century, hand-painted with blossoming flowers and butterflies and with alternating reticulated lattice and cartouche borders, comprising: four two-tiered cake stands, two surmounted by a figural finial in the form of a maiden with an apron of roses and two with a boy holding a floral wreath, on knopped supports and spreading gilt heightened bases, 41.5cm high; four tazzas, on knopped supports and spreading bases, 12.5cm high; and four tazzas on spreading socle bases, 6.5cm high, 21cm diameter, all with underglaze blue crossed swords and impressed marks (12) Provenance: Works of Art from the Schroder Collection.
