British School, early 19th century- Ships off the coast; watercolour and bodycolour heightened with white on paper, 12.6 x 17 cm: British School, 19th century- Boats at sea; pencil, watercolour, and bodycolour on paper, signed with initials lower right, 13.6 x 19.7 cm: together with three drawings on maritime themes stuck down on a common sheet of card, 50.2 x 22.3 cm overall (part unframed) (5) Provenance: with Rowley Gallery, London, according to the labels attached to the reverse of two of the frames.

The sheet lies flat in the mount. Creases and folds to the sheet, particularly towards the upper left corner. General marks, surface dirt, and foxing throughout. In fair condition overall. Unframed drawings: Significant tears to the backing card, particularly towards the centre. General creasing, folding, browning and foxing to all three drawings, with particularly noticeable marks to the upper drawing of a boat. In fair to poor condition overall.
