Note:
A scene in the Acts of the Apostles, where a high-ranking official of the Queen of Ethiopia is baptised by St Philip, whilst a figure on horseback watches on from the left. Rembrandt had produced a painting of the subject in 1626, perhaps influenced by his teacher Pieter Lastman (1583-1633), who also treated the subject in the early 1620s.
