The author gives practical tips for building and conserving energy. The book considers all phases of self-training - diet, exercise, attitude, and work methods.

Hard boards, original maroon cloth with gold lettering and decorations on spine, 5.1/2" x 8.1/4"; slightly darkened endpapers, 298 pages including Index, very good condition.

Walter Boughton Pitkin (1878-1953) was a lecturer in philosophy and psychology at Columbia University (1905-09), and professor in the Columbia University School of Journalism (1912-43). Pitkin belong to the New Realism school in philosophy, writing on its relation to biology. He authored more than 30 books, including the 1932 best-selling book, "Life Begins at Forty."
