A 'PEONIES' FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND CUP, TONGZHI MARK AND PROBABLY OF THE PERIOD
China, late Qing dynasty to Republican period, 1862-1949. Delicately potted with a deep U-shaped body supported on a straight foot and rising to a gently flared gilt rim, the exterior finely painted in bright enamels with three evenly spaced peony sprays against a floral brocade diapered ground, below a band of ruyi-heads and above a band of lappets. The recessed base with an iron-red six-character mark da Qing Tongzhi nianzhi.

Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear and very light surface scratches.
