Currently based in Los Angeles, Jonas Wood is a colorful and magical artist with a retro and avant-garde style. Trained in Fine Arts at the University of Washington, Seattle, Wood is admired for his representations of ordinary environments, such as domestic interiors and landscapes, to which he applies a style reminiscent of the illustration of the 90s or great artists such as David Hockney. His works are currently in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, among other important institutions.
