Splendid pair of hippocampi in patinated bronze, probably originally part of a fountain. Sea foam swirling between their legs, which are splayed above the water, the lower half of their flowing manes formed from an acanthus leaf. The patina abraded and scratched in places, slight traces of weathering. Mounted on a faceted pedestal of green stone. Height of each approx. 60 cm.
