A pair of Roman bronze wagon fittings, 1st/2nd century A.D.
Bronze with light green patina. Each in the shape of a hollow cast, conical and eight-fold faceted fitting surmounted by an eagle's head. Robust hook shaped like a stylised bird's head as strap holder of the wagon suspension on either side. Nice green patina. Heights 12.5 and 13 cm.
