A PAIR OF GILT METAL AND UPHOLSTERED TUB CHAIRS DESIGNED BY MILO BAUGHMAN FOR THAYER COGGIN, CIRCA 1970 Both swivel and tilt Each approximately 80cm high, 75cm wide, 90cm deep overallMilo Baughman Design Inc was established in 1947. In 1948 he helped create the California Modern collection for Glenn of California which included pieces by Greta Magnusson Grossman. Although better known for his contributions to other companies, Baughman also ran his own custom design shop with Olga Lee in Los Angeles from 1951-1953. He was best known for the work he created for other companies including Thayer Coggin, Pace, John Stuart, Directional, Design Institute of America, Drexel. His simple, unpretentious furniture appealed to people looking for a modern forward-thinking design. Condition Report: Both chairs in good condition overall.
