French Louis Philippe Walnut Commode, mid 19th c., the shaped top above cyma frieze drawer, over three lower drawers with moulded surround, on moulded feet, H.- 40 in., W.- 48 3/4 in., D.- 22 3/4 in.
Condition Report: Structurally sound. Older toned finish with areas of abrasions. Scattered inactive worming. Some shrinkages with separations running vertically on both sides. Overall minor surface chips, nicks, abrasions, indentations and small imperfections consistent with age and use. Nice useful example. Keys for the bottom two drawers are present. Drawers stick when closing, which can be easily fixed with adjustments.
