French Empire Carved Walnut Marble Top Commode, mid 19th c., the fossilized dark grey marble top over a frieze drawer, above three setback inset drawers, flanked by tapered columns, on ring turned cylindrical feet, H.- 36 in., W.- 44 3/4 in., D.- 23 in.
Condition Report: In overall very good condition with no visible losses or repairs. Sides with small shrinkage cracks, and marble top with a few tiny chips to edges. Drawers open smoothly. Locks are intact, but no key is present. Good patina and structurally sound. Case with a few minor nicks and scratches, as is to be expected with age, material and use.
