French Louis Philippe Walnut Commode, mid 19th c., the shaped top above a cyma frieze drawer, three setback lower drawers with a reeded surround, on a plinth base, on bracket feet, H.- 38 in., W.- 51 1/2 in., D.- 22 1/2 in.
Condition Report: Structurally sound. Retains an older finish with areas of marking and toning. Scattered shrinkages, some with separation. Warping to top. Veneer losses and veneer repairs, mostly around the base. Overall minor chips, nicks, marks, abrasions, and imperfections consistent with age and use. Beed trim missing proper left side. A handsome example.
