French Provincial Carved Cherry Armoire, 19th c., the canted cornice, conforming chamfered case, with two raised panel doors with a pilaster center stile, on cabriole legs, joined by a serpentine skirt, H.- 77 in., W.- 56 in., D.- 24 in.
Condition Report: Structurally sound. Retains an older mellow finish with areas of toning. Inactive worming throughout. Scattered shrinkages, some with separations and infill. Minor losses to carved elements. Overall chips, nicks, marks, abrasions, and imperfections. Cornice is a replacement. Feet reduced in height.
