Qing dynasty (1644-1911), of eight gouache paintings by Bian Shoumin (1684-1752), each page painted with ducks, fish, flowers, or still life, inscribed with the signature and artist's seals, one page dated February in the year of Guihai (1743) during the Qianlong period, ink and colour on paper, each painting 11.3 x 14.7cm Associated with the renowned 'Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou', Bian Shoumin was famous for his realistic painting of wild geese, so much so that it resulted in him being known as 'Bianyan' (Bian geese). 清 边寿民 杂画图册 设色纸本 八开册Condition Report Wood cover with cracks and splits, loose, surface scratches.
