An engraved Privateer wine glass commemorating the 'Eagle Frigate', The bucket bowl engraved with a three-masted ship and to motto "Success to the EAGLE FRIGATE Privateer" with an opaque white spiral twist stem around a central gauze column, broad flat foot, smooth pontil. Some wear to the footrim. Probably a later 19th Century version of these highly sought-after 18th Century glasses. 17 cm high.
