Two Italian majolica urns and covers, late 19th / early 20th century, the larger example applied with dolphins to the neck, the body with masks of bearded men each with inscriptions either side, with winged bearded men to the foot, the body painted to the whole with winged mythological creatures and swags with armorial crests, the cover modelled as the bust of a bearded man encircled by a rearing snake, bearing spurious AG Gubbio mark to underside, 51.5cm high, the smaller example with masks of bearded men to the squat neck, the body applied with snakes and female masks with horned bulls to the lower section, the whole painted with mythological creatures, dolphins, swags and crests, the cover modelled with flowerheads and leaves, 47cm high (2)
