Description
Outstanding, strong and slightly toned print. The depiction refers to a triptych by Maarten van Heemskerck, which the artist executed for the town hall in Haarlem and which has survived in fragmentary form. The design drawing in grisaille painting is now kept in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Trimmed close to the platemark. – A brown stain in the upper left corner. A tiny paper damage in the upper right corner, otherwise in good condition. Rare!
