A Chinese Langyao-type red-glazed vase
Qing dynasty, 18th/19th century
Of tall baluster form, with wide flaring neck over the high, rounded shoulder, covered overall in a widely-crackled, red glaze, thinning to a pale cream at the neck and pooling around the foot, the base covered in a greyish crackled glaze, 40.5cm high.
清十八/十九世紀 紅釉瓶
Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Lady Karen Watson, Richmond. Inherited by Lady Watson, the vase had reputedly been in the family since circa 1900.
