A Chinese copper-red glazed oviform jar
Qing dynasty, 19th century
The thickly-potted vessel covered overall in a thick, deep red glaze, thinning to a crackled white at the neck beneath the lipped rim and to the interior, the base glazed white, 24.3cm high.
清十九世紀 紅釉罐
Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Lady Karen Watson, Richmond. Inherited by Lady Watson, the vase had reputedly been in the family since circa 1900.
