With tapering blade (old wear and rust patination) double-edged at the point and fullered along the back on each side, the forte on one side etched with a rubbed German inscription, a leaping stag above, and on the other with traces of an etched panel, a boar above, parcel-gilt hilt comprising downbent shell-guard, upscrolled rear quillon and downbent fore-quillon, the latter with boar's head terminal, pommel-cap with a human-mask and rococo shells, and fishskin-covered grip with reeded silver strap along the back, in its wood-lined browned leather scabbard with silver locket, chape and suspension hook
