ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI ERA CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE
An antique Japanese, Meiji era, enamel over copper vase. The vase has an urn shaped body and a narrow neck with a fluted mouth. The exterior of the vase is enameled with a polychrome design depicting blossoming flowers surrounded by a foliate scroll pattern on the dark blue ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck is adorned with floral, and scaly ornaments made in the same technique. The base features a polychrome foliage motif made in the same technique. Unmarked.
