19th C. Western European Brass Candlesticks (pr)

Western Europe, probably France, Italy, or Spain, ca. 19th century CE. A fine pair of candlesticks, each composed of multiple brass components. The design of each candlestick bears a tiered, bell-shaped base, a multi-lobed stem with a central knop, a conical candle spike, and a recessed wax pan. Fine patina graces the surfaces of this wonderful pair of candlesticks! Size of each (both are relatively similar): 3.625" W x 10.75" H (9.2 cm x 27.3 cm).

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950-1990

Condition Report: Both candlesticks have minor abrasions to bases, bodies, and wax catchers, with light encrustations underneath bases, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits and nice patina throughout.
