A remarkable green glaze celadon vase with figural rodent handles. The base also glazed, the thick base rim unglazed and of orange/brown appearance. The Rat (or mouse) is the first of the repeating 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac.

Good condition; no chips, no cracks or hairlines and no restoration. Age crazing of the glaze and a few dark spots in the glaze (manufacturing flaws and glaze imperfections).
