Aldo Tura started designing and manufacturing his furniture in the 1930s. Following the Art Deco movement which focused on straight lines and angles, Tura designed pieces with more flowing lines and much freer shapes. He created work of the highest craftsmanship produced in limited numbers, favouring traditional techniques.
Due to his outstanding skill as a craftsman and artist, he experimented with a wide range of unusual materials including egg shell, parchment, leather and wood veneering.
