A carved wood parcel-gilt figure of a female deity, probably Tara, Bhutan, 18th century, wearing tall crown, necklace, large disc earrings and brocade skirt, with traces of blue paint to the hair, mounted, the figure 29.5cm high This figure is an unusually large example of a small group of know pieces generally attributed to Bhutan.
