Arabic manuscript on paper, 304 leaves, 18 lines to the page written in small naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in black and red, text on a gold-sprinkled ground, verse-endings marked by gold roundels, inner margins ruled in black and gold, double-page illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, sura headings written in naskhi script in white on a gold ground, catchwords, Qajar painted lacquer floral binding, doublures with a flower-filled vase, in Persian embroidered pouch, 102 x 65 mm.; together with a small lithographed Qur'an in the hand of al-Sayyid Mustafa Nazif, known as Qadrughli (Kadiroglu), printed in Cairo at the al-Mashhad al-Husayni Press in AH 1353/AD 1934, mother of pearl covers, in modern wood box
