The cast iron ebony chest is surmounted by a silver bowl supported by four gold-plated dolphins, features four brass claw feet and is ornamented on front and sides with raised brass figures depicting a Grecian scene; the back side hinges open to reveal a blue velvet pincushion and four little tinplate drawers. Excellent condition. Early 1800s.
