Mahogany high chest of drawers / chiffonniere. Mahogany veneered on oak, back wall and drawer bottoms made of oak.
All seven drawers run well
Locks all present, all drawers with oval latic copper fittings. (Completely)
Entirely supported by a beautiful tapered leg on the original ormolu-plated brass knob
Sides not torn apart from a 'hairline crack'. (see pictures)
Netherlands, circa, 1775-1795.
Dimensions:
H= 150 cm.
W= 95 - 99 cm. (Wide - widest)
D= 43 - 45 cm. (Deep - deepest)
Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of construction and veneer. No living woodworm found on 11/4/2024
