Devéria, Achille (1800-1857) - Lemercier, Alfred Léon (1831-1900) - Series of 6 hand-coloured lithographs, Biblical scenes from the story of Queen Esther, hand-coloured, about 1855, in a splendid historicist frame about 1880-90. Size of the picture 42 x 60 cm, frame 74 x 90 cm.
Rare complete series, in splendid colouring. The legend is in French and Spanish. The prints are partly trimmed at the bottom, the Spanish text was glued to the reverse side of 5 out of 6 pictures.
The corners of the stucco frames each with beautiful floral ornamentation and two putti (frames restored). The title of the respective print is stamped into the wood on the upper crossbar.
