Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. The bronze was cast in sections, and a few stable original joints are visible, including at the arms and the man’s cloak at his back and there are also some casting plugs. Some wear to the lacquer patina at the high points. Some greenish residue to the woman’s proper right foot and the drapery in this area. The figure of the woman is attached to the base with metal bolts. The sword has detached from the handle but is stable. There are some dark residues to the drapery covering the woman’s proper right leg. Minor nicks and scratches.
